General Description

RN2 series indoor high voltage current limiting fuse is a professional protection component specially developed for Potential Transformer (PT) and generator loop protection in medium voltage power systems. It is widely applied in indoor high voltage switchgear, power distribution substations, industrial power plants, and generator control rooms, serving as reliable short-circuit and overload protection for voltage transformers and related high voltage auxiliary circuits.

This fuse adopts high-strength ceramic outer tube, filled with high-purity quartz sand as arc-extinguishing medium, matched with precision melt inside. Under normal operating conditions, the fuse keeps stable conducting state with low power loss. When the circuit suffers short-circuit fault or abnormal overcurrent, the melt fuses instantly, and the quartz sand quickly absorbs arc energy to realize rapid arc extinction and current limiting, effectively isolating the faulty circuit and protecting PT equipment and the whole power system from damage.
Mainly designed for indoor working environment, RN2 high voltage fuse supports multiple rated voltage levels including 3kV, 6kV, 10kV, 15kV, 20kV and 35kV. The standard rated current for PT protection is 0.5A, which perfectly matches the no-load and light-load working characteristics of potential transformers. It features accurate fusing characteristic, low overvoltage impact during breaking, high breaking capacity and stable electrical performance under long-term continuous operation.

With compact integrated structure, rigorous manufacturing process and good mechanical vibration resistance, the RN2 fuse is easy to install, replace and maintain. It complies with IEC 60282 and GB/T 15166.2 international and national standards, ensuring safe and reliable operation in various complex medium voltage power distribution occasions. It is the ideal dedicated protective fuse for generator PT, indoor high voltage cabinet, substation PT loop and industrial high voltage power distribution system.
